Challenge
The poultry house had deteriorated significantly due to prolonged exposure to weather and age. Timber framing, cladding, and roofing sheets were unstable, with sections partially collapsed. The long, narrow structure created access restrictions, and loose debris presented safety risks. A phased and controlled demolition method was essential to prevent secondary collapse and to protect nearby buildings, livestock areas, and working routes on the farm.
Solution
AEL Environmental Specialists carried out a full site assessment and planned a safe dismantling sequence tailored to the poultry house layout. Our demolition services involved the controlled removal of unstable sections using specialist machinery, ensuring each stage of the process was managed safely and efficiently. All debris was separated for responsible disposal, including roofing materials, timber, and remaining internal framework. Once the structure was fully dismantled, the site was cleared and the concrete base left clean, level, and ready for future redevelopment or new agricultural use.
