Challenge
The building contained deteriorated asbestos materials around the upper external elevations. Weathering had caused cracking, flaking, and fibre exposure. The location required a fully enclosed scaffold system to prevent airborne release and protect users of the surrounding site. Height, public access, and enclosure integrity were all key safety considerations.
Solution
AEL Environmental Specialists installed a full scaffold enclosure wrapped in protective sheeting, creating a sealed working zone around the facade. Licensed operatives used specialist respiratory protection and negative pressure controls during removal. All asbestos materials were safely contained, bagged, and transported for compliant disposal. The structure was left ready for exterior reinstatement and finishing works.
